I am a South African born music producer, technologist and educator. In 2008 I moved to Australia to study audio production and pursue a creative career change. After completing my Bachelors of Audio Production, I started teaching at SAE Institute in Byron Bay. In 2016 I relocated to Adelaide to take up the campus managers role at SAE Adelaide and have consequently lead the team through regulatory and program changes. I have always possessed a very empathetic approach towards people with disabilities and special needs and when presented with some opportunities started mentoring students with special needs. I am very inspired by music and love sharing my passion for creative expression.

This project (and the MCI) was inspired by my beautiful stepdaughter Sufjan, who has been diagnosed with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Dyspraxia. I have been exploring interactive methods that can assist Suf, and some of my other students,  with “creative” play that could assist with wellbeing and emotional regulation.

As a music producer and artist, I have released and performed with several different groups and under different aliases. With We Play Machines we won “Best Electronic Release” at the 2017 NCMA Dolphin Awards and currently I am working on a Hip Hop project with Adelaide Hip Hop legend Chriss Bass. Other notable collaborations include AfrikanAmerikan and Miles End.

As a Sound Designer, I contributed to several online videos and web series and also developed all the sound design for a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) audio series (Start Life Now).

I am a keen photographer and enjoy watercolours and sketching, I also enjoy a beach lifestyle with my family and Sweetheart our cat.

I hope to continue my journey of sound sculpting and enabling people of all abilities to be creative and have fun making music.
